About the band

Buena Onda Reggae Club is an instrumental septet that combines Jamaican rhythms like Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Dancehall and Dub with Latin Jazz, Afrobeat and Brazilian Music creating a musical fusion that transmits a positive vibration.

The first studio album “Buena Onda Reggae Club” released in 2017, opens with Buena Onda, an energetic ska tune that sets the good vibes of the whole 6 original tracks plus 2 dub remixes. Also featuring in this album, the band´s first song written: Mada. In Skaravana SA they make a tribute to Duke Ellington and in La Vida, La Raza features the fierce vocals of singer/songwriter Laylah Arruda.

Their second album, released in 2020, “Buena Onda Reggae Club II” steps up a bit with a full 10 track and 1 dub remix produced by reggae legend Victor Rice. A Luta Continua shows the UK steppas inspired influence of the band, the tribute this time goes to Sonny Rollins in Song for Rollins and in Tranquilo the fusion with afrocuban clave highlights the harmonic voyage that is Buena Onda Reggae Club, a musical melting pot.

Since than they released a series of single tracks with dub mixes both from their previous album and original new songs such as Moonlight and A Night in Bollywood, teasing new flavors for their sound journey.

The band is Eduardo Marmo on bass, Felipe Guedes on drums, Marcos “Bro” Mossi on Guitar , Kiko Bonato on keys, Victor Fão on trombone, Cauê Vieira on saxophone and Rodrigo “ The Rabbit” Ribeiro on trumpet.
